Marble (20/06/11)

Lovely faces sit primly aligned,
Silent, ordered, and resigned,
Calling our fingers to touch and caress,
Their value by beauty alone is assessed;
We, mortal beings, will doubt our perfection
As we by them pass, eluding detection:
But we must remember that (which in pride is so often forgot)
While we lack their beauty, they lack thought.
